They say that all great love stories start with interesting beginnings, and Jaime and Lindsey’s was no different.  Lindsey took the leap into “online dating” (even though she wasn’t too stoked on the whole thing) and she had a series of “unfortunate first dates”.  She met Jamie and they talked for about a month before she tentatively set a “first date” with him.  Their schedules were both crazy, so finding the right time wasn’t easy, but they eventually settled on brunch.  When the day came, Lindsey got a call that Jamie wasn’t going to be able to make it – the truck he was borrowing broke down.  Lindsey wondered if it was a red flag, but thinking he would never accept, she asked if he needed a ride.  Never in her wildest dreams did she expect him to accept…but he did!  She had a few minutes of “Stranger Danger” hyperventilation, before heading to pick him up.  So, folks, Lindsey and Jaime met for the first time on the side of the road!  Lindsey says it’s the best decision that she ever made, and Jamie still counts it amongst his most embarrassing moments in his life!

The two became “official” on August 3rd, 2018.  They were an “odd couple” (hence their incredible wedding hashtag, #theaudettecouple, that’s a nod to the old TV Show.  She says she is the country to his metal; the “bubbly blonde girl who is friends with everyone to his dark cloths, in drama class, quiet and subdued nature”.  But, as they say, opposites attract, and Lindsey and Jamie’s fates were written in the stars.  They got engaged on Christmas Eve 2020, after Lindsey had dropped numerous hints throughout the year about what she wanted for Christmas (for those who don’t know, it was a RING).  When she started to open her gift from Jaime it was a very large and heavy box, which either meant a ring fit for a T-Rex, or he hadn’t gotten the message.  The gift was amazing, though – a series of boxes, each stained differently and dated.  She loved them and took one out of the other until finally she came to a very small box (things were looking up) and Jamie grabbed it from her, got down on one knee (she was shaking like a leaf), and proposed right there with Lindsey’s dad videoing, because Jaime had done the classically chivalrous thing of asking her father’s permission beforehand.  Well, she said YES and the rest is history!

When asked what she loved most about Jaime, Lindsey said, "What I love most about Jamie is how he loves me.  How he lets me be me, he always listens and never judges. He is always there for me in times of need...hell he is always there for me regardless.  He has seen me at my absolute worst and best.  He gets my weird."

Best Decision We've Ever Made...

When asked what he loves most about Lindsey, Jamie said, "I love the way she smiles whenever she sees me.  I love how thoughtful she is, but most of all I love her for making me the happiest I have ever been."

When planning their wedding, it was important to Lindsey that the wedding said something about who they were as unique people – Jaime’s only real request, “no barns, burlap or boots”.  They settled on the “The Gardens at Peacock Farms” for their venue because of the secret garden feel…and because there wasn’t a barn! There were so many amazing and personalized touches and Lindsey and Jamie’s wedding – from the little signs that spoke about their relationship and life, to the “tiny Tucker” (anyone who knows these two HAS to know Tucker) on the back of their wedding cake, and even the unconventional choice of “pizza and burgers” (which were amazing) for dinner.  Lindsey also managed to incorporate “Fallout” cufflinks as Jamie’s gift, and a nod to his love of Star Wars with signs for the backs of their chairs.  The main request these two had for their day was that they wanted to see photos of people having a great time, because those are the people who they truly care about in their lives, and let me say that every single person at The Audette Wedding had an incredible time.  This is day that will live on in memory forever, and it was filled with so much love.  Congratulations Lindsey and Jaime, you two truly are the perfect couple!
